About Me
Hello there! You have found place on the internet where I post about the random stuff I work on in my spare time and where I occasionally post helpful or interesting tidbits from my work.
My curiosity about what makes things tick has always driven me to try stupid shit to see what happens. That curiosity has also driven me to deep dive into how systems function under the hood both at work and outside of work.
Hobbies
I run a modest homelab that houses my production server and lab server among some other odds and ends. I use my homelab for “production” services as well as for spinning up windows server and linux environments to tinker with them and also break them.
I also enjoy learning and practicing Antenna Design and Theory. I currently have a permanent random length hf antenna setup in my backyard that connects back to an RTL-SDR that is plugged into a “server” that is running rtl-tcp to facilitate use of the SDR from anywhere on my network.
In addition to my homelab and learning about antennas, I also like to do a little bit of gaming, learning 3D printing, messing with old electronics, learning to code, and much more.
Work
For work, I am a Sr. Network Engineer at a medium sized MSP based out of SoCal. Like most MSP jobs, I wear many hats. My main job is to execute on projects for out clients and perform server migrations and major upgrades.
